4000 × 2667

What we currently know about the 2017 #PinkBeetle

Earlier this year, Volkswagen announced the future sale of the Volkswagen #PinkBeetle. Currently at this time, we don't know the official launch date of the Volkswagen #PinkBeetle, although currently at this time, Volkswagen has stated that the #PinkBeetle will be launched to the general public at the end of October 2016. We currently know that the #PinkBeetle will be available in limited quantities, but we currently don't know where it will be available or how many will be available for purchase.

Many people contact us asking if there is a version of the Beetle that is offered in pink, but sadly Volkswagen doesn't offer this color. Not anymore, the exterior of the Limited Edition 2017 Volkswagen #PinkBeetle will be painted in a vibrant Fresh Fuchsia Metallic paint.

The Limited Edition #PinkBeetle also comes with a duly appointed interior, which includes a black dashpad with surrounding pink accents and a black leather steering wheel. The pink doesn't stop there though, the #PinkBeetle will come with Pink Club cloth seats, which are reminiscent of the Golf interior design with a perfectly matched pink hue stripe replacing the red stripe found in the Golf.

The interior doesn't stop with the addition of the color Pink. The #PinkBeetle is full of modern technology. Standard equipment includes Volkswagen’s MIB II infotainment system, which serves as the foundation for the VW Car-Net® App-Connect suite of features. App-Connect technology enables smartphone integration through three major platforms—Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ and MirrorLink®—allowing seamless connectivity for compatible devices.

The #PinkBeetle is fitted with Volkswagen’s Composition Media infotainment system that has a 6.3-inch screen with a capacitive touch sensor (similar to smartphone and tablet technology) to enable gesture controls like swiping and pinch-zooming. MIB II also features a proximity sensor, which detects when a hand is nearby and automatically switches its display to allow easier selection of specific features. USB and Bluetooth® connectivity for compatible devices is standard, along with a rearview camera and a 3-month trial of SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. Other standard equipment includes heatable front seats and KESSY® Keyless access with push-button start.
