The All-New Volkswagen Arteon Revealed

new Volkswagen Arteon

Like a Phoenix from the ashes, the all-new Arteon arises, representing a new era of world-class design and engineering. Combining dramatic style with sporty dynamics and powerful performance, this hot new four-door coupe is the Gran Turismo that Volkswagen fans have been waiting for. The Arteon is slated to arrive in our showroom by the middle of next year, however, you can preview it here on our blog first.

"The Arteon combines the design elements of a classic sports car with the elegance and space of a fastback. It’s an avant-garde business-class Gran Turismo that speaks to the heart and head alike,” explained Volkswagen Head Designed Klaus Bischoff.

According to one of the vehicle’s designers, the idea for the Arteon came largely from a desire to blend form and function, making it both plush and practical. The coupe’s design language consists of expressive bodylines and dramatic sculpting, along with eye-catching features like LED headlights and taillights, aluminum-alloy wheels and chrome accents that set it apart as a premium sports vehicle.

Riding on a 119-inch wheelbase, the Arteon offers plenty of space for passengers plus a cavernous trunk for luggage, groceries and other gear. The coupe’s high-end cabin styling also ensures endless comfort, with standard equipment including keyless go access, six-way power adjustable front seats, an automatic climate control system and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Additionally, all models are treated to a Discover Pro infotainment system with auxiliary and USB ports. Offered in two models above base—Elegance and R-Line—the Arteon gives buyers a range of accessible amenities on top of that.

On the performance side, the Arteon will be available with several four-cylinder turbocharged engine options, including a 276-horsepower 2.0 TSI. Most engines are available with a DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission, and buyers will also have the choice of sending power to a front-wheel drive system or Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

More information will be released closer to the Arteon’s debut date, so be sure to stay tuned to our Volkswagen blog!
